So this morning we were just chilling in our pj's (the adults anyways, the kids were dressed). And by chilling I mean Smasher was blowing bubbles under the cooler and laughing hysterically as they got blown about (and divided), Bryant was taking care of Babe (as Smasher calls her), and I was doing the dishes when when we hear the front door open and our friends Chris and Triana had dropped by. We were quite pleased to see them. The last time we had seen them was when their youngest was born (he's six months old now). I was a bit embarrassed by my attire but luckily they didn't seem to mind.
They brought a baby gift for Babe and it is the most adorable little dress, sunglasses, and a headband that Triana had made (pictures to come). So of course I have been re-inspired to make headbands for Babe and spent my evening googling all sorts of tutorials and suppliers, etc. It has made me want to craft more. If I do actually end up doing it I will post pictures, etc. My problem is that there are so many things that I want to make/do that I don't know where to start so I never end up actually doing it. Plus I get busy and the new school year is looming on the horizon so I also need to get busy and get some lesson plans, etc. made (I had a goal of making one everyday of the summer-- hasn't happened yet, sigh...).
I know you all (the 2 or 3 of you that read this) want to see pictures of the littles but unfortunately they are all on Bryant's computer and he is home at the moment which means I have been relegated to my laptop. Maybe next time.
Also, I kind of want one of these but can't justify the expense for the amount that I might use it.

Summer
Summer vacation has officially started and let me just say, it is lovely. I've been able to spend loads of time with the kids and the hubby doing fun things such as...going to Seven Peaks, playing outside, having picnics at the park, and just chilling. I am teaching next year- I just sent off my application to renew my teaching license so everything should be all set there. I'll be teaching Pre-Algebra to 8th and 9th graders next year and will only be teaching on A days (that means, only every other day). I am quite pleased that it is every other day. Since it has been so long since my last post I thought I would add some random pictures of the fam for your enjoyment.

Well...
People keep telling me I need to update my blog and put pictures up. It's hard to get motivated to do it when there are so many other things that take my time. I just thought you might like to know though that I got a teaching job. I'll be teaching pre-algebra and Canyonview Junior High School in Orem. It's an hourly position so I'll only be teaching two classes (one a day, they have alternating A, B days) and working about 2 hours a day. I'm excited to be back in the classroom though. I think it will be good to have only a couple of classes so I can stay organized more easily and not got super stressed with everything. Anyways, wish me luck!

And so it is
We are a bit strapped for cash these days (as I'm sure many others are) and I've been trying to think of things I could do to earn a little extra on the side while not having to pay a babysitter but I have yet to come up with some stellar ideas. I thought about tutoring in math but when I looked on KSL.com to see how many other tutors there were there were hundreds (even with teaching degrees like me) so that looked doubtful. So I'm asking for your help. Any ideas for making a little extra money or do you know anyone that is need of a math tutor? I'm licensed to teach grades 6-12 but would prefer not to tutor in Calculus. My goal is to make $500-$600 a month but anything would help.

Argh
Well, I had a long post all finished but then my laptop decided that it would disconnect from the internet. Lame.
I will just tell you that Asher is rolling over. For the first time today he rolled from his back to his tummy and then back to his back. He's been doing each indepently for a while now. He's becoming more mobile everyday which is exciting and yet scarey. It's so fun watching him learn new things all of the time.
