Winter

The one thing I love about winter is how cold my bedroom is in contrast to the warmth and coziness of my bed. I hate getting out of bed during the winter because my bed is so inviting. I have flannel sheets right now which adds to the coziness. It makes it very hard to get up in the mornings.

Hey plugalong, thanks for the birthday wish. I loved the Jorie Graham poem you posted. Isn't she amazing. I love reading her poems because her rhythm and imagery is just so beautiful. Even when I don't understand the deeper meaning involved. I'd comment on your blog but it won't let me so I'll just have to leave you this message here.

I was introduced to flannel sheets my first winter in Utah and have been obsessed ever since. I love when the fall is starting to get some winter bite in the air and I know that it is time to break out the flannel sheets. I am always a little sad when I put them away in the spring.

I feel the same way about winter mornings and cozy sheets. This winter was the first time I've ever had flannel sheets and I also really enjoy them. There is something so inviting about them I often want to climb back into bed after I've already been up and gotten the children off to school.

Your welcome.

I wish I could have flannel sheets! I'm one of those sleepers that sleep HOT, and our apartment is never cold (thank goodness--but I do love to snuggle into a warm cozy bed.) Alas, those days are gone for me.
