Hot

According to weather.com the high yesterday was 99 degrees. Blasted hot, not to mention that I'm used to dry heat so with the humidity I feel like I'm always moist and sweaty. Good thing we have a pool. I don't think I'm going to last much longer without turning on the AC (we're trying to last as long as possible to keep energy cost down). Hopefully I'll get a job soon so I can escape to the nice air conditioned building.

I'm it!

I was tagged by Krachel so here it goes:

The rules of the game: Each player answers the questions about themselves. At the end of the post, the player then tags 3 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

1. What was I doing 10 years ago?
I was 14. I was in eighth grade and had the biggest crush on a guy. During the summer he called and asked me out, said we could go to Seven Peaks together and I... chickened out. I told him I was too young to date. I felt really bad for turning him down and I really did want to date him. However, I'm a girl and felt too self-conscious to wear a swim suit in front of him. Needless to say, once the summer was over and I saw him I was too embarassed and scared to talk to him so I didn't. Ever.

2. What was on my to-do list for today?
Pack, Catch a flight home, do laundry, and clean up.

3. What would I do if I suddenly became a billionaire?
Let's see, I'm currently unemployed so the money would definitely help. I'd probably payoff Bryant's student loans, buy a house, invest some, give some to charities, go shopping, put lots in savings and help my family out with whatever they might need.

4. 3 Bad habits
Not making the bed on a regular basis. Being too sensitive to things Bryant says (that he intends to be perfectly harmless). Forgetting to take my camera with me.

5. Places I have lived
This is pretty pathetic but I have lived in Provo, UT and now Grapevine, TX.

6. Places I have worked...
JoAnn Fabrics and Crafts, Dixon Middle School, RC Willey Home Furnishings.

7. 3 Things people don't know about me.
I don't like crunchy peanut butter but I love the creamy.
I'm a liberalist (according to Bryant, ask him why sometime).
I thoroughly enjoy making faces in an old fashioned photo booth and seeing the resulting pictres.

I tag Nikki, Brooke, and Athina.

Something I've never seen...

In the airport today I saw vending machine for proactive solution so apparently you can sale practically anything in vending machines these days. What would you like to see sold in a vending machine?

The move

The process of moving from Utah to Texas has been long. I started packing about a week or so before the move (luckily much of our stuff was still boxed from our wedding and in storage). Then my mom, Kyle, Jeff and Micquel helped to load it into the UHaul (in which we weren't quite sure if everything would fit).

We then drove for about 24 hours (give or take) before we arrived in Grapevine. My mom, dad, and Kyle helped to drive me there and get all the stuff moved in. We also had a couple guys from our elders quorum who came and helped us. The fam was then kind enough to put my furniture together and organize it. I'm amazed at how much we got done before they had to leave. We even had a little time to drive around and see my new home here in Texas.

Class of '08

Woot! As many of you know I recently graduated from BYU with a BS in Mathematics Education. I never thought this day would come but it arrived. Thanks everyone that was able to come to the ceremonies and the after parties. Here are some pictures taken at commencement and convocation for your enjoyment (...or something).

In case you were wondering....

I saw this on a blog and thought it might be kind of fun so here's everything you never wanted to know about Bryant and I.

1. Where did you meet?

Techinically we met at work (he was a salesperson and I worked in the office) but we didn't ever actually talk until a mutual friend invited him to hang out with the rest of us (thanks Cassidy!).

2. What was the first thought that went through your head when you met?

Just from seeing him at work I thought he was a very cute jerk, he wouldn't even smile at me but when we actually started hanging out I thought he was very funny.

3. Do you remember what he was wearing?

When we hung out for the first time he wore blue jeans and a long sleeve shirt.

4. Where was the first time you kissed this person?

We were up Provo Canyon in his convertible Eclipse looking at the stars and talking about life in general.

5. How did he/she ask you out?

He texted me which is pretty shy and adorable.

6. Where did you go for your first date?

We went to the Clark Planitarium and then went to his parents house where is dad made us dinner.

7.How long did you know this person before you became a couple?

Not sure exactly, it was probably a couple of months before he started hanging out and then it quickly morphed into being a couple.

8. Has this person ever proposed to you?

He proposed to me on 9 December 2005 (wow,it doesn't seem like it's been that long). He surprised me and rented a plane from UVSC and flew us up to SLC where we had dinner. When they brought out dessert they had a big beautiful rose (I still have it dried) on a separate plate and the ring was sitting in the center of it. Bryant got down on his knees and asked me to marry him. Then he flew me home. It was incredible to see him flying and to see the land below.

9. Do you and this person have kids together?

Not yet and hopefully not for a while.

10. Have you ever broken the law with this person?

No.

11. When was the first time you realized that you liked this person?

After the first time we actually hung out. I thought he was very funny.

12. Do you get along with any of the ex's of your partner?

No, he says he didn't have any girlfriends before me but I'm pretty sure he did they just weren't ever that serious.

13. What’s the most expensive thing this person has given you?

My wedding ring.

14. What is one thing he/she does that gets on your nerves?

I probably do more things that get on his nerves.

15. What is the thing you do that gets on his/her nerves?

Ah ha! I have long hair that clogs the drain in the shower.

16. Where do you see each other in 15 years from now?

We'll probably have kids and he'l'l be flying for some airline. I might be teaching. I'm not really sure. We could be anywhere.

Well, there you have it. We have a lot to look forward to in the future and I'm excited to finally be able to continue our relationship when I move to Texas.
